WHAT WE DO
Full assessment of your infant or child from a Paediatric NP/IBCLC (Lactation Consultant) with more than 20 years of experience and ongoing annual training to remain up-to-date with modern research. We also offer nutrition support, food sensitivity testing and food intolerance evaluation from Registered Holistic Nutritionist/IBCLC, Tania Heinemann, who has joined our team (yellowood.ca). If you are in the Toronto area we are working with Oksana Laurinaviciene (IBCLC) (lactationclinic.com). We have evening and weekend support available as well.

Other Services
- Breastfeeding Evaluations: latch assessment, oral restrictions, milk supply and transfer etc.
- Tongue or Lip Tie Revisions ( Ankyloglossia). If required in the least invasive/effective way. To prevent future feeding, teeth or speech issues and eliminate mother’s pain.
- General Baby Weight Checks and Growth Assessment and Prenatal Consultations
- Formula feeding instruction, weaning, or transitioning to solid food (Baby led weaning)
- Nutrition counselling for babies/children or mother’s to support optimum nutrition.
- Postpartum Depression/Anxiety- assessment and treatment options
- Acute illness, chronic infections for both infants, or mother’s i.e yeast or mastitis.
- Prescribing necessary medication for both babies to the age of 18 or mothers’ i.e. candida or mastitis.

- Baby Weight Check – with full infant assessment. One on one health teaching.
- Vitamin B complex injections- which assist with weight loss, increased positive mood and energy/anti-depressant. Great for Breastfeeding mothers!
- Breast Pump Assessment – These will be completed and recommended to babies based on professional needs

- Tara is an associate professor and educator of Midwifery, Nursing, Medical and Nurse Practitioner Students for Universities and Colleges across Ontario. She has taught Breastfeeding classes at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Conestoga College and Region of Waterloo Public Health. She received the YWCA’s “Women of Distinction Award” in 2012 for the “exceptional contribution she has made to the advancement of women in our community in the field of Science, Technology and Research” She has been a guest on radio and television broadcasts and a speaker for Community events including The Centre for Family Medicine, Breastfeeding Buddies, and Events for Breastfeeding Week (WHO/UNICEF)
